I hunted unit 39 which is the unit that idaho city is in this year, saw a lot of elk during deer season and had a close call with some big bulls during the late archery but couldnt seal the deal, I was hunting farther south mostly near arrowrock reservoir but there are elk all over unit 39, Im not sure what the pressure is like during the general rifle but i would imagine with the proximity to boise that it would get a lot of pressure i know there are a lot of hunters who hunt the area for general deer.
